NMR Tube Holders
The supply of these items has been instigated by the Department to meet Health & Safety needs in double-containing chemicals when they are in transit. You will also appreciate them for the simple fact that they keep your hard-work safe by protecting your fragile samples en-route to the NMR suite, a route which takes many of you outside. For this reason they are supplied freely by the CRT.

If you need one of these NMR Tube Holders, drop in to collect one from the CRT Office in 132A, C1 (just inside Briscoe).
Young's NMR Tube Holders
It has recently been noticed that many people are using NMR tubes fitted with Young's taps. There is not sufficient head-room for these to fit in our conventional NMR tube holders and some users have been seen transporting them in unsealed Holders. Unfortunately this completely negates the protection offered by the Holder as the head can and will shear off if dropped.
As a remedy, Domingos has produced a modified Young's NMR Tube Holder, with increased headroom, which are now available from the CRT. Please do collect one if you use Young's NMR Tubes regularly.
