Mime-ch.conf

As of October 2006 there is an unresolved problem with apache interpreting mime.types from the standard /etc/mime.types file.

Apache can however correctly handle mime types that it is set up in its own conf files to override.

To this end a file /etc/httpd/conf.d/mime-ch.conf has been created containing AddType directives for each of the various customised mime types previously in /etc/mime.types. Apache includes this file on startup and handles them correctly.
