Jmol/JSmol tips
- Current Java policies as invoked from a web browser disable local file access, as used by sites such as https://www.ch.imperial.ac.uk/rzepa/cub2jvxl and https://www.ch.imperial.ac.uk/rzepas/cub2jvxl. To re-activate this feature, proceed as follows
- Safari/preferences/security/plug-in settings
- Java => Configured web site. Add https://www.ch.imperial.ac.uk to this list
- Whilst holding the option key, click on the Ask pull down menu and deselect Run in Safe mode.
- Jmol invoked via a Java applet has now been deprecated by Oracle. To ensure that applet invocations continue to function properly, see http://wiki.jmol.org/index.php/Jmol_JavaScript_Object#Conversion_using_the_Jmol2.js_.27adapter.27_library
