Hydroxychloroquine is also known as Plaquenil. Its molecular formula is C18H26ClN3O and its melting point is 240°C. It’s a white odourless powder and soluble water, alcohol, chloroform and ether. It is an antimalarial type of medicine. It is a drug used for Systemic and Discoid Lupus, Arthritis (rheumatoid and juvenile) and Skin problems caused by sunlight. When taking this drug you need to have regular eye appointmenst to make sure that deposits of the drug do not reside in the eye which could lead to blindness.
