The wiki hosted at the Department of Chemistry, was created on March 21 by Henry Rzepa. Initially motivated by the need to describe the wiki phenomenon in an invited contribution to a chemistry conference related to Web developments in teaching, it now serves as an experiment to explore how a "synoptic" or "holistic" view might be achieve across a curriculum in higher educational chemistry teaching. Wikipedia itself already has substantial chemistry content; here we strive to fill in the gaps in our own taught courses, with the help not only of the lecturers in the subject, but also all the other people that participate in the department, including postdocs, graduate students and of course undergraduate students.
